Important Bulk Billing Changes 

From 1 November 2025, our clinic has expanded access to bulk billing in line with national Medicare changes to make GP care more affordable.

What this means for you
  • If you have a valid Medicare card, more of your visits may be fully bulk billed (no out-of-pocket cost), depending on the type of consult.
  • You don’t need to do anything to be assessed, our team checks eligibility at each visit.
  • Some services (e.g procedures and consumables) may still attract a private fee or gap; we’ll always tell you upfront.
Make the most of your care 

We encourage regular patients to register with our clinic through MyMedicare. Registration is free, takes a couple of minutes, and helps us to:

  • Provide better continuity of care, especially for long-term conditions
  • Offer priority access to bulk-billed services where eligible
  • Connect you to new Medicare-funded programs rolling out over the year

Register via myGov: log in at myGov, choose MyMedicare, and select Erindale Medical and Health as your regular clinic.

Alternatively, you can sign a registration form at the clinic and our reception staff will take care of the rest!

Overseas visitors & non-Medicare holders
Overseas visitors and non-Medicare card holders will be charged $75 (plus GST if applicable) for a standard appointment, $125 for a longer consult and for prolonged consult it is $175. All fees may be claimable from your health insurer.

Fees for Allied Health Services

Referrals to allied health professionals may incur a gap payment and patients are advised to enquire at the time of booking if there will be any out-of-pocket costs.

Referrals, Prescriptions, Forms

Please make an appointment with your doctor to have these services completed. If you are unable to make a time to have these attended to, a fee can be paid to have your doctor complete a request for scripts or referrals with a day's notice to complete the request.

Results

Please make an appointment to follow-up test results ordered by your doctor. This includes radiological tests such as X-rays and scans. Most routine test results are available 48hrs after they are requested. Some results require more time to be available and generally your doctor will advise you if a longer wait applies to your tests. Even though test results may be discussed over a telephone consult, we encourage patients to attend a face – face appointment to discuss their results with their doctor. Urgent abnormal test results will be brought to your attention by a doctor or one of our staff members. Test results are your responsibility and we recommend arranging your follow-up appointment at the time of your test being undertaken.

Reminder

As a commitment to providing a quality preventative medical service, our practice will from time to time send out an invitation to participate in a preventative health screening appointment or activity appropriate to your care. Please contact our friendly reception staff to make an appointment to participate in any invitation received or to receive further information. If you do not wish to participate in our reminder service please let our reception staff know.

Cancellation and missed appointments

Please advise our receptionist staff as early as possible if you need to cancel or change your appointment as this will allow other patients access to a doctor. This is especially important during busy peak times such as winter cold and flu season and busy periods at the start and the end of the week. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for missed appointments. We reserve the right to not allow future appointments to be made if more than 3 are missed without notification.

After hours care

We offer an urgent after-hours service to existing patients only.

If you have visited the clinic within the last 12 months. We are happy to offer you urgent after-hours service, Please be advised after hours service fee applies. Full fee payment is required at the time of confirmation. Between 11pm – 7am is $301.75, Medicare will refund you $161.75. All other times is $252.25 and Medicare will refund you $137.25.

If not eligible for the above service,you will be diverted to the National Home Doctor Service. The direct number for this service is 13-SICK or 13-74-25.They are a fully accredited service.

To give each patient the best consultation possible, doctors prefer not to be interrupted by phone calls. Practice staff are happy to take a message and the doctor.
