As we head into the winter season, South Australia is once again offering the free nasal spray influenza vaccine for children aged 2 to under 5 years through the South Australian Nasal Spray Influenza Vaccination Program.

Nasal Spray is a needle-free flu vaccine given as a gentle nasal spray, making it a great option for many young children. It has been safely used around the world since 2003, with millions of doses administered in countries including the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada. The program has been shown to improve vaccination rates and help reduce serious influenza illness in children.

Influenza can cause serious illness in young children, leading to complications such as pneumonia, dehydration and hospitalisation. Vaccination is the best way to help protect your child and reduce the spread of influenza within the community.

Available at Erindale Medical & Health

At Erindale Medical & Health, we offer the free nasal spray influenza vaccine for eligible children aged 2 to under 5 years under the South Australian program. We also provide the standard injectable influenza vaccine for children, adults and older Australians, including those eligible under the National Immunisation Program.
